Registration Key Info

Membership fee:

1 Child £110

2 children (siblings) £200

3 children (siblings) £280

4 children (siblings) £350

The membership fee covers the cost of the Friday night training sessions (it works out at less than £5 per session) and also the provision of a club shirt (please see below) (value £20).

Payment method: cash is preferred as this will make the registration process run more smoothly and a lot quicker so please make every effort to bring cash.  If this is not possible then cheques are the Club's second preference and card payments the third.

Confirmation of Personal Details

For existing members, we already hold a record of all the relevant personal details and we will ask you to confirm these are still correct or update any changes on the registration night.  For any new members joining, you will be asked to complete a registration form on the night and we will provide the form to complete on the night.

Club Kit

This year, included within the membership fee above, each child will be provided with a white club playing shirt (Surridge brand) with the club logo and the logo of our sponsor, Pertemps.  These are being provided by JS Sports who will be in attendance on the registration nights and will be available to measure your child and arrange subsequent delivery to the Club of your child's shirt. It is very important that your child attends the registration night to ensure that correct shirt measurements can be taken.  JS Sports are the Club's preferred supplier and will also be available to provide other items (clothing/equipment).They will bring various samples along for you to view.

Additional kit and equipment items can be purchased directly from JS Sports via their website at  If these are ordered by 14th February, these items will be delivered to the Club and you can collect them.  This will save you the delivery fee. You can do this by adding items to your basket and clicking on the collection option.

 Coaching Nights

These will remain, as before, on Friday evenings.  Last year we had approximately 230 children attending over the 2 sessions.  This year it has been decided to move to 3 separate sessions for Friday night training which will hopefully mean that we can:

·       Provide a higher coach to children ratio recognising that some children develop better in smaller groups

·       Alleviate (some) pressure on car parking facilities.

Session 1 - School years 1, 2 and 3 – 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Session 2 – School years 4, 5 and 6 – 6:10 pm to 7:10 pm

Session 3 - School years 7, 8, 9 and 10 – 7:20 pm to 8:20 pm

The coaching sessions will commence on 20 April 2018 and end on 14 September 2018.

Presentation Nights

Please put these provisional dates in your diaries now.  Further details will be provided near the time.

21 September 2018

28 September 2018

Complete Cricket

Complete Cricket Coaching will continue to be our Lead Coaching Partner and as in previous years, will be assisted by junior team managers/ club volunteers.

Important points to ensure Friday coaching evenings run as smoothly as possible.

On arrival would all players please congregate down by the outdoor nets to sign in.

Please take your kit bags down with you if you have one.

Years 1 to 3

To ensure that all children are safe, we will be signing them out at the end of each session. The children will gather in their groups at the top of the field by the sightscreen at the end of a session. We ask that you come to meet your child's group and sign your child out.

We will not release a child without seeing their parent/carer, so please let us know at the beginning of a session if your child is going to be collected by someone other than yourself.

Please also be aware that all parents are responsible for their children after the session ends.

All children should not go onto the cricket pitch after their session ends for their own safety and to allow session 2 to take place efficiently.

Over the course of the evening we are expecting up to 200 kids present, which could result in a lot of cars!!

Please be aware of our car parking facilities.

Car Park 1: Main car park behind the clubhouse and strip of area to the left hand side of it (towards the top main house). Approx 80-90 cars.

Car Park 2: Area opposite the outdoor nets on the left-hand side as you drive up from the main entrance. Approx 30 cars.

Car Park 3: Dorridge Village Hall car park. To be used as an over-spill area if needed. Approx 40-50 cars.

This is a public council car park so please be respectful of any function going on in the Village hall of a Friday evening.

We are trying to put something in place where the car park will be marshalled, but in the event that it isn't, please can you all be mindful of parking sensibly to allow as many cars access to the car parking areas.

Car Parks 2 and 3 may be better suited for those attending Session 2

Drop-Off Area

This will allow parents to drop-off their children if they wish to.

This will be in Car Park 2 Area

One-Way System

We will also be introducing a one-way system.

Entry will be at the main entrance on Earlswood Road and exiting will be at the ends of both car parks 1 and 2 onto Grange Road.

Please do not exit down the main driveway from either car parks.

We would also encourage you to car share if possible or walk if that is convenient.

If the sessions are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, we will communicate this through our Club Website, Facebook, (Dorridge Cricket Club Juniors), or Twitter @DorridgeCCJnr / @DorridgeCC.

We will do this as late as possible to give the best chance of the sessions being on.

And Finally...

The Club have really embraced the junior section and taken great strides to create a vibrant, family atmosphere.

The introduction of a Kids Bar, an extension of the outdoor patio area, in addition to the popular BBQ and bar facilities, makes us an extremely attractive place to spend a Friday evening.

However, our main priority is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the kids' cricket coaching.

Let's now hope for a dry, warm summer.
